“…be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil.  So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is."  Verses 8-10 says, “for you were formerly darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of Light (in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord.” (NIV, NASB)

Wearing Time

The verse, “making the most of your time,” is also expressed with the phrase, “redeeming the time,”  which means to buy or get back that which has been lost, stolen or given away.  I know it is hard for us to imagine how some of our missed opportunities and lost times could possibly be redeemed.  But GOD!  Remember, we serve a redeeming God.  As we walk in step with Him today, He can show us how to make the most of every moment and opportunity so that the darkened moments of the past will be turned for good and the current moments will be of eternal value.  I believe the time is at hand when God is saying,

“NOW, walk with me, let me synchronize your days and your plans to My plans for you, to prosper you, to give you hope and a future.  Let Me show you the joys I have set before you today.  Don’t keep missing the opportunities.  I want you to be in the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing.  I want to bless you and empower you.  I have many divine moments for you to experience."

Lord, I pray that You will synchronize us to Your perfect timing so that we WILL make the most of every moment.  I thank You, Father God, that You are outside of time.  You are the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end!  You see everything in between!  You know just how, when, where, why and what we should be doing to accomplish Your awesome plans for us.  With You, it is never too late.  Our times are in Your loving hands, Father.  May we wear Your perfect timing gracefully around our necks as we willingly submit to You.  It is time for us to break through this earthly time barrier to accomplish Your eternal purposes!

Are you wearing time or is it wearing you?  Are you out of sorts; out of sync, never in the right place at the right time?  Has life seemed to pass you by? There is another way; an alternative route; a way to get back on the right road; a way to redeem those missed opportunities, especially when you serve a God who is not bound by time. Ephesians 5:15-17 tells us to,
