Inspired by a beautifully woven piece of cloth patterned with snowflakes, I began to paint on canvas the vision I had been shown when the Lord suggested I zoom in for a closer look. Zooming in ever closer, I watched the pattern and the painting become increasingly abstract—until the visual message of this painting began to emerge..
As God weaves us in and out of each other’s lives like the warp and weft threads of a cloth, we are not always see the purpose. His design for our lives and relationships may seem abstract at times because of our limited perspective. Often, we are just too close to see the bigger picture and how He is working it all out for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. We can, however, learn to trust Him as relationships come and go. Remember, there is a season and a reason for everything in God’s plans, purposes, and placement.
“And we know that all that happens to us is working for our good if we love God and are fitting into his plans” (Romans 8:28 TLB).
