Sovereign Tsunami

There is a stirring in the heavens, an overshadowing of God’s power about to be released on the earth. There is a tsunami of God’s glory coming and it is mightier than the opposition of man or the forces of evil. Nothing will stand in its way.  It will sweep away death and destruction from our midst.  No one will miss it. No one will escape its effects. For the perishing, it will bring an opportunity for life and hope. For the redeemed in Christ, it will empower for the miraculous. All resistance to this outpouring of God’s glory will be overcome. There is no stopping it. We are about to witness a sovereign act of God—a SOVEREIGN TSUNAMI! 

Although I wrote this message years after the painting was created, the timing was perfect. As confirmation of its current prophetic relevance, I received notices of events with similar names being held in the very same month. The following are excerpts from an article about one of these events, called “Tsunami of Glory”[1]


  • “There is a tsunami of glory coming to the Body of Christ globally.”
  • “Pentecost will look like a drop in the bucket compared with what God is beginning to unfold.”
  • “This massive new tsunami wave of God’s glory (related to Tabernacles) will deposit a miraculous ‘glory revival’ on the Body of Christ leading it into unparalleled harvesting of new Believers. It is a Baal Perazim moment of phenomenal breakthrough where a literal Hoover Dam of the Glory is unleashed by Heaven on earth. It will startle the nations commanding their attention because of its magnitude. It is the Manifest Presence of God in the earth and it will happen to and then through Christ’s Bride.”


As we eagerly anticipate this tsunami of God’s glory, here are some scriptures to consider: II Samuel 5:20 regarding the God of the breaking waters; Isaiah 24:18 when the floodgates of heaven are opened; Psalm 104:8 when God directs the waters to their assigned place; Exodus 14:21 when God parted the Red Sea; and John 3:16 when God sent His only Son to save the world. 

“He who testifies to these things says, ‘Surely I am coming quickly.’ Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!”
