Harvest

“Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.  But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.  Then He said to His disciples, ‘The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.  Therefore, pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest” (NKJV).

Seeds have been sown and it is time for reaping! Destinies are waiting!  Now is always the right time to work God’s fields of harvest, bringing hope and light into the world at such a time as this.  We’ve heard how Jesus did it and what He told His disciples. In Matthew 9:35-38 it says,

It is time for a Kingdom perspective.  The harvest is plentiful!

On the outside edge of the original painting I was instructed to paint a very small ladybug.  As I pondered the reason, I was told to consider its size, location and limited perspective as a symbol of our own inability to comprehend what God has prepared for us.  With this in mind, let’s be sure just to believe what Jesus said and work faithfully to bring His bountiful harvest into His kingdom!
