• 2:04

Every day we have a choice whether to open or close doors in our lives. Some doors lead to life and some lead to death. Deuteronomy 30:19 says,

“I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them” (NKJV).

We must understand the short and long term effects of our choices and the way we use our authority. Remember:

  • “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective” (James 5:16 NIV).
  • “The Lord is far from the wicked but He hears the prayers of the righteous” (Proverbs 15:29 ESV).

The opportunity, the choice, the responsibility has been given to us. Therefore, choose wisely. As for me

“I’d rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness. For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man who trusts in You” (Psalm 84:10 NASB).
