Today is the dawning of a new day! The bright Morning Star is shining and it is Jesus. He comes to usher in each new day. I wake up and say, “Good Morning.” I am looking forward to being with Him. I love to hear His voice and know His heart. Time spent in communion and communication with Him, through His Holy Spirit, is full of "love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control" (Galatians 5:22-23 NIV). Each new day holds priceless promise, treasure and adventure. I do not want to miss it. He is my heart’s desire and I am His.
“Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with Me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End … I, Jesus, have sent My angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star … He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon’” (Revelation 22:12-13, 16, 20 NIV).
Thank you Lord for bringing the dawn of every new day!

I am rejoicing not only in this for today, but also in knowing that this is only a shadow of what we have to look forward to. There is a new Jerusalem and a new day coming on the horizon. Those who wash their robes will be allowed to enter into it. Those within it gates will get to see the face of God and eat from the tree of life. In this city of God there will no longer be any curse, sorrow, sickness, or death. "The throne of God and of the Lamb [Jesus]" will be there in our midst. (Revelation 22:3 NASB) And “there will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever” (Revelation 22:5 NIV). And Jesus—the one whose desire is for us—says,
“Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup; you make my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance. I will praise the Lord, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me. I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With Him at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure, because You will not abandon me to the realm of the dead, nor will you let Your faithful one see decay. You make known to me the path of life; You will fill me with joy in Your presence, with eternal pleasures at Your right hand” (Psalm 16:5-11 NIV).
