Inspired by a beautifully woven piece of cloth patterned with snowflakes, I began to paint on canvas the vision I had been shown when the Lord suggested I zoom in for a closer look. As I zoomed in closer and closer the pattern and the painting became more and more abstract until the weave of the pattern with its visual message began to emerge.

As God weaves us in and out of each other’s lives like the warp and weft of a cloth, we can’t always see the purpose. His design for our lives and relationships may seem abstract at times because of our limited perspective. Often, we are just too close to see the bigger picture and how He is working it all out for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. We can, however, learn to trust Him as relationships come and go. Remember, there is a season and a reason for everything in God’s plans and purposes.

“And we know that all that happens to us is working for our good if we love God and are fitting into his plans” (Romans 8:28 TLB).
