True Worshippers

There was a young woman who went to the well of His presence for a drink of fresh water, but got much more than she expected. The water she received satisfied her for eternity when she met the Man who really knew her including her trouble and her pain.  After asking for a drink of His thirst quenching water, she was concerned about where to worship.  Jesus let her know it wasn’t about where to worship but about how to worship when He lovingly said to her,

“But the hour is coming and now is, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.  God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth” (John 4:23, 24 NKJV).

He then let her know He is her Messiah.  Not being able or even wanting to contain the “fountain of water springing up" within her "into everlasting life,”  she simply had to go and share her overflow of joy with others. (John 4:14 NKJV)  She had met the only Man who ever knew her well. (Selah)  She had had a time of personal ministry from the Lord; now she had a story to tell of someone who knew and understood her with nothing hidden.  It was an encounter with the Lord that caused her to become a true worshipper. Spiritually energized and truthfully transparent, she shared her worship of Him with others causing many to believe in Him and come to know Him as their personal Savior.
