Pouring In

I am reminded of a beautiful song called “His Love”* by Ramie Hughes.  Her lyrics say it best as follows:

“If we filled the ocean full of paint and the sky was all a canvas,
If every tree became a brush and every man an artist
To draw the love of God above would drain the ocean dry
No canvas could be big enough though stretched from sky to sky.

If every star in heaven were an instrument tuned perfect
And every man on earth was a musician and a poet
There could never be a melody or a lyric to do justice
To the love inside one tiny tear that he sheds for us.

Jesus loves us
He who died
Heavens gates to open wide
His blood was shed for your sin
Let His love come pouring in.”*

Oh, that we would …let His love come pouring in.  What a difference it would make!
