Battle in the Heavenlies

Do you see the tornado, the cyclone, the tsunami?  What else do you see:  a path, the silhouette of a person's head or an opening in the clouds?  Do you ever feel like there is a battle going on in your mind and you’re losing it?  At times like these it is important to remember -- there is a battle going on over our souls (our mind, will and emotions) and it isn’t just within us but over us.  Sometimes we just don’t realize how intense it is, but the Lord of hosts -- the Commander in Chief -- does.  He and His heavenly hosts (warring angels) are doing battle in the heavenlies to deliver us from the onslaught of enemy lies battling over our minds.  How comforting it is to know that we can call on the Lord of hosts and trust Him to do battle for us -- against our real enemy.  According to His Word -- we win! So be sure to put on the "helmet of salvation" (as shown on the person's head in the painting) and use it -- all the while -- giving praise to the Lord for the victory. (See Ephesians 6:13-18)
