• 4:33

According to the lyrics of the contemporary worship song, “Everlasting God,”* which is based on this scripture—God is our hope, our deliverer, our defender, our comforter, and our eternal source of strength. We are renewed just being in His presence. Healing comes as we allow Him time to touch the deep and hidden places of our hearts. Revelation comes as we set aside time for Him to reveal Himself to us. From this secret place of intimacy—we will rise with wings like eagles (representing the prophetic) carrying what we have received. Prophecy translated from the Hebrew word “naba” means to bubble up or flow forth, to gush or boil up and over. Like bubbles rising to the surface, His strength and His message will rise in us. It can’t be contained, restrained, or suppressed. We will rise up carrying His message of healing, hope, strength, love, and so much more to those in need. Revelation 22:2 tells of the trees with leaves for the healing and restoration of the nations. The leaves painted in silver (representing redemption) on the shoulders (representing government) of the angel’s wings are symbols of this. They represent the governing mantel of God’s redemptive message that is carried on the shoulders of those who spend time in the deep places of the Lord. When we rise from His glorious depths, we—His angel messengers with eagle’s wings—rise up radiant with His life, His light, His love, and His message; full of His power and His glory!

Halleluiah!

What a wonderful opportunity to receive from God and share with others!  As Bob Sorge wrote in His book, Secrets of the Secret Place, “Isn’t it incredible that the awesome God of the universe has invited us to a breathing, growing relationship with Him.”** Waiting on the Lord—spending time with Him in the secret place—is the key. Our Father is already there waiting for us to come. Jesus said, “when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly” (Matthew 6:6 NKJV). It is an invitation to experience the God of the Universe and live to tell about it! If we wait on Him in the secret place of intimacy—He will reward us openly and

“The voice of the Lord will be heard again in the land!”**

“But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired…” (Isaiah 40:31 AMP).

Ascending from the depths of the ocean—I saw a congregation of bubbles rising as if being forced upward by the outstretched wings of an angel. I had the impression that the angel—or messenger—was rising from the depths of communion with God where “deep calls to deep” and we “wait on the Lord” (Psalm 42:7; Isaiah 40:31 AMP). The amplified version of Isaiah clearly states:
